Sometimes You Don't Need to Fix It

There are moments when the hardest part isn’t the problem itself.

It’s the feeling that you should already know what to do about it.

You should know what to say. You should know which direction to go. You should know how to make it better.

But sometimes the most truthful answer is simply: I don’t know.

I don’t know what comes next. I don’t know how to fix this. I don’t know what the right answer is. I don’t even know exactly what I’m feeling yet.

And maybe that doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

Maybe it just means you haven’t had enough time to understand what’s happening inside of you.

We get so used to believing that every hard thing needs an immediate answer. That if something hurts, feels confusing, or sits heavy on us, we should be doing something about it right away.

But sometimes sitting with something for a while is part of figuring it out.

Sometimes sitting in the dark long enough is what lets your eyes adjust.

And eventually, a little light starts to come in.

Not because someone handed you the answer. Not because everything suddenly became easy. But because you finally gave yourself enough quiet to hear what was already there.

Sometimes you don’t need to fix it yet.

Sometimes you need to understand it first.

To hear yourself say: I don’t know who. I don’t know what. I don’t know where. I don’t know how.

And to understand that those words are not the end of the thought.

They may actually be the beginning.

Because once you can hear what you don’t know, you can start understanding what you need.

And sometimes, understanding how is the very thing that finally makes fixing possible.

Matching this vibe today? Why not grab a cup and let’s talk about it.
